  Latest list of universities not recognised by Ghana’s Accreditation Board Date: Sep - 16 - 2020 , 18:43 BY: Enoch Darfah Frimpong Dr Kingsley Nyarko - Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board The National Accreditation Board (NAB) in Ghana has reiterated its call to all educational institutions and employers to refer all academic and professional qualifications to it for determination of their respective statuses before accepting them for any form of admission, employment or job progression. The call follows the continuous use of academic qualifications and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) titles by some individuals, purportedly awarded to them by institutions the NAB has long ceased to recognise and therefore does not accept qualifications awarded by them. Besides that, the unaccredited institutions in Ghana have been dishing out honorary doctorate degrees to some prominent Ghanaians. Tommy Lee Sparta Named Person Of Interest By Police For Shooting In Montego Bay Anna-Kaye Kerr July 6, 2020 Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta is currently being sought after by police officials following an increase in crime in his hometown of Flanker, Montego Bay. Tommy Lee Sparta , whose real name is Leroy Russell Junior, has experienced some tragic events of his own. Back in March, four individuals, including his  6-year-old daughter, were shot in the community of Flanker , St. James. Thankfully his daughter survived the tragic incident, but a nine-year-old boy sadly died. Following that, there have been  several retaliation shootings , according to the Jamaica Constabulary force. Flanker is well known by those in St James as a violent and dangerous community. According to law enforcement, there are numerous gang activity taking place within the area.
